Due Fazzoletti<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0 – 8 minutes 27 slideshow documenting a work by Dancework “Duet with 2 Handkerchiefs” originally choreographed by Tony Thatcher and performed on tour in 1979\/1980.\u00a0 The slideshow includes the revised work by Bambole dancers Tina Giuffre and Tony Chaumier.\u00a0 \u00a0The\u00a0 accompanying sound recording of heavy rain might be\u00a0quite loud in places so be ready to turn your volume down.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0“Il Guanto” 2021\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a08<\/strong>\u00a0minutes 29 slideshow of a work “Il Guanto” by Bambole Dance Company – revised version of “Glove” choreographed\u00a0by\u00a0Tony Thatcher and performed on tour in UK and Italy by Dancework in 1979 & 1980.\u00a0 Music composed by John White\u00a0for Dancework in 1979.\u00a0 Some of the photos of Dancework in this slideshow are by Jonathan Charles.\u00a0 This version was directed\u00a0by Tina Giuffre but is a collaborative work by the 3 dancers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

“Percy’s Garden” 2022<\/a>\u00a0 10 minute slideshow inspired by\u00a0\u00a0“Grainger Suite” that was first performed in 1980 as part of Dancework duet programme ICA for London Dance Umbrella. The solos and duets were extended to include a trio\u00a0performed on tour in 1981. Bambole created a trio “Percy’s Garden\u00a0to piano music composed by the Australian composer Percy Grainger. “Music used: Knight & Shepherd’s Daughter”,\u00a0 “Country Gardens” and “Lullaby from Tribute to Foster” . Bambole dancers Tina Giuffre, David Girando and Carolina Papa perform this new work. The slideshow is dedicated to John Bird who wrote an acclaimed biography of Grainger.\u00a0 The new Bambole dance based on “Grainger Suite” is dedicated to Gavin Bryars, John White, and Pat Garrett.\u00a0<\/p>

“Sidescraper Secondo”<\/a>\u00a0is\u00a0A Bambole Dance Company Slideshow featuring original music for piano composed by Gavin Bryars in 1980. A dance work for dolls based on “Sidescraper” a short solo choreographed and performed by Christine Juffs of Dancework. The 1980 dance was performed as part of a duet programme for London Dance Umbrella at the ICA. “Sidescraper Secondo” is performed here by one of the newest talented recruits, Mary Buonvinto who joined Bambole in 2022. The costume worn by Mary is similar to that of the original dance. Like the 1980 version, this work also features a\u00a0fan.\u00a0<\/p>

“X Rated Check Up”\u00a0<\/a>X Rated Check Up is a 11 and half minute slideshow with music. Performed by Bambole Dance Company Tina Giuffre and Tony Chaumier, to an extract of the original music composed by Christopher Benstead. Based on “The Check Up” choreographed by Stuart Hopps which was premiered for the London Dance Umbrella at the ICA in 1980. The original dance was performed by Christine Juffs and Tony Thatcher of Dancework. This is X rated because it contains some scenes of an explicit nature. Parental guidance is advised.<\/p>
