Bambole Dance Company is a unique contemporary dance and ballet company of dolls. There are 7 dancers at present. Bambole’s manager/ administrator is Julien Eaglet. Bambole live and work in Mossy Well. This website provides glimpses into their domestic and company life. The company base much of their creative output on the works of Dancework (1977 to 1984). Dancework was a Muswell Hill based company co-founded in 1977 by Christine Juffs, Silvy Panet-Raymond and Tony Thatcher. Works are currently being created but do not follow the chronology of Dancework. 2 members of Bambole (Belinda Neumann and Shannon Lapin) are ballet dancers so this will be reflected in the repertoire. Drawing used in Bambole Dance Company logo is by Irene Hall and was originally designed by her for Dancework in late 1970s/ early 80s. Bambole DC has sister websites FitzDolz and Doll Stories. Some Fitz Dolz staff take class with Bambole. The company often shop at the vintage department store, and model for occasional fashion shows. They meet up with friends in the cafes and some of the dancers use the hair salons.
