Annie introduces the last piece of the programme “X Rated Check Up”, which is the only piece after the interval. She tells the audience that Stuart Saltellare created this dance drama and that there are some surprising aspects especially the last section of the dance.
The medical scene where the dance takes place has been set up whilst the audience were having their refreshments in the bar.
She hopes that they are all enjoying the show and says Sons of Jack Lane Community Centre are delighted to be able to present Bambole DC which is a local company.
She finishes by saying that the Centre and of course the dance company are delighted that the theatre is full. In fact there are no more seats available so she will have to sit with the technicians in the control room!
Annie makes her way up the central steps to the control room as the lights slowly dim.
Tina and Tony are thrilled that the audience applaud with enthusiasm. “X Rated Check Up” is a very different kind of work to their own choreography and it called upon them to use their acting skills. Using props and working with a set was a challenge. Stuart Saltellare used a lot of skill to devise choreography that fitted the intentionally limited performing space. He’s very clever.
