Most of the costumes for Bambole Dance Company are made by the creator of this website. Those pieces that are revised versions of original works created by Dancework have garments that are similar in style. For example, the gauntlet that was worn in “Glove” the 1979/1980 piece choreographed by Tony Thatcher for Dancework – in “Il Guanto” the revised version by Bambole – features a small gauntlet made in synthetic white suede. The knitted outfits worn by Tina Giuffre and Carolina Pope are similar to those worn in the original dance. Some costumes are knitted rather than sewn. The company have infinite patience when sitting around waiting for costumes. And they are quite excited when they get to wear a new costume. Towards the end of 2021 Bambole acquired the services of Constance their wardrobe mistress.
Ballet tutus worn by Shannon and Belinda, likewise, are hand made.
